After a nice relaxed day (with two great friends) in Brugge, Belgium at the place of my really close friend Venom Tom. We travelled in the evening to a local venue to see our good friend Katrien De Lombaert perform with the new line-up of her band Kate's ACID. They surprised the audience with a really great setlist of old and new songs. Fifteen songs such as: Hooked On Metal, Hell On Wheels. Black Car, Max Overload, as well as newer tracks such as: Valkyrie, Hellbender and Do Not Burn The Witch. The stage was big and had great Light, also the sound was good. The newcomers in the band did a great job and I fully enjoyed every single minute of the show. Kate's voice was good and the songs were played without any unnecessary breaks or other bullshit. Classic and catchy Heavy Metal with a lot of power and melodies. Often in the vein of bands like: Motorhead, Dio, Judas Priest, and Girlschool. It was also great to find former bassplayer of Kate's Acid and my longtime good friend Mathieu Trobec (Wings Of Steel) in the crowd to support Kate the fullest, to sing along, bang his head and raise his fist. He is surely a really great guy. It was a nice evening with some good people like Nico De Vreese (thanks for the talk) and other nice Metal maniacs . After the show we returned back home, because I am getting old , tired and overstimulated very easily and I have 3 more shows to go this month (which are over when you guys read this report online). Never the less, the life of a headbanger is getting more intense as you get older!
