Angelic Forces and Against Evil

Another trip up north to support my good friend Abhay and his awesome events in this part of the Netherlands.

The evening kicked off with Dutch heavy metal band Angelic Forces. The group recently changed singers, and that shift is definitely noticeable in their sound. Former vocalist Harold had a high, clean tone, while the new frontman Joey brings a rawer edge—at times even reminiscent of Lemmy from Motörhead.

Angelic Forces delivers classic heavy metal packed with melody and layered vocal harmonies. Their songs are catchy, full of energy, and have a great sing-along vibe. In my opinion, they’re one of the best heavy metal acts currently active in the Netherlands.

After a short break, Against Evil from India hit the stage with their signature high-energy set. Their brand of classic heavy metal is loaded with powerful riffs, great solos, and perfectly placed gang vocals.

Fans from Germany, Switzerland, and all over the Netherlands clearly had a blast—especially when the band crushed their incredible cover of Deep Purple’s “Burn.”

All in all, it was another successful night at Ons Dorp in Emmer-Compascuum. Great bands, great crowd, great vibes.

Final word: I recently visit many concerts and festivals, sadly enough I don’t have the time and energy to write reviews of all gigs and fests I attend, but last weekend Gladbeck Metal Bash Open Air in Germany was a real blast!
