RVH Project was started back in the summer of 2021 as a solo project by bass/lead/backing vocalist Rick van Heuzen (Junkyard Princess). When he started on a solo album (during the Covid pandemic). After teaming-up with guitarist Orion Roos (Maestro/Eloah, Vortex and more) and drummer Gerry de Graaf (Mother Of Sin, Vengeance etc), the band was officially ready to start. The band released their debut studio album “Enter The Machine” in 2022, and now in 2025 the follow up “Land Of The Damned”. What to tell you, good mixture of Hard Rock, Heavy Metal, Prog, Funk, AOR and Pop, all with fine melodies and catchy hooks. It’s sounds heavier than their debut album. This album got a strong seventies/eighties feeling. All In all, it do reminds me from time to time to a mixture between Toto, The Sweet, Deep Purple, Rainbow with Ronnie James Dio. All including, the keyboard parts that brings you this 70’s vibe to their music. Rick van Heuzen does a really good job as a singer, but when they added John Jaycee Cuijpers (Praying Mantis, Angus, Maestro and more), as guest on several tracks, there is one of the greatest voices in Dutch hard and heavy music added to the music on this strong 2nd studio album!
The album was recorded/mixed and mastered at Studio Spitsbergen, Zuidbroek, Groningen by Bauke van der Laaken.
