Ever been hypnotised by music? Well, just put on Living Light, the debut album of the German band Slowshine. Opening track Trials is one heck of a song that draws you in, holds you where it feels good and makes your body rock to the rhythm. The other ones that are displaying these qualities are Wandere and the title track Living Light. And I'm really digging it.

The rest of the songs are different though. Which begs the question: what kind of music do Slowshine play? Well, if you see the name of the record company that is releasing this album it might give you a massive clue. The Lasting Dose Records is a name well chosen in regard to Living Light. It keeps you on a constant high. You have all different kind of pleasurable trips passing you by. This is sometimes stoner, sometimes rock 'n' roll, even just shoegazing noise, but always with ultra heavy sounding guitars. Like a lighter version of Entombed, mixed with Trouble and The Tea Party.

Not surprisingly you can order Living Light through the bands bandcamp page. It's available as digital download, on vinyl (in different exciting colours) and as a cassette. So no physical CD. Groovy choices.

Who needs drugs when Slowshine's Living Light can give you the right buzz? I;m just going to relax and have another listen. Peace man!
