Estriver is a continuation of the band BlueRose . They originate from Trieste in Italy, and in 2019 they changed their name to Estriver. Outcry could actually be construed as the the last part of the trilogy of albums which started when they were BlueRose. Those albums were called Fallen From Heaven and Darkness And Light. So if you enjoy this Outcry you might want to check out those albums.

For a band like Estriver, who mix heavy rock with pure metal and progressive influences, it's not easy to find a blend that will work all of the time. But they have and I feel that the way their vocalist Piero Pattay uses his voice is mostly resposible for making it work. Whatever they play, somehow it sounds just right.

The only thing that is bugging me is why I'm not jumping for joy whilst listening to Outcry.  Something is holding me back from enjoying Estriver to their full content. I just can't pinpoint what that is. But maybe if I keep liastening to Outcry I will find out, so that's exactly what I'll do.
