Sometimes it's hard to find classic metal albums, especially on vinyl. Thankfully we now have Mertal Warrior Records, who releases old and new stuff on that precious commodity. Vortex used to be one of the Netherlands oldest heavy metal bands, until founder Martjo Brongers decided to reach for the high heavens in 2019. Since then the rest of the band has continued under the name Metal Bats.
Why that name? Because that is the title of their iconic debut EP. It's one of the two album in this box set. The other one is Open The Gate, their just as important debut album. They have been extended by adding a number of extra songs, like bonus tracks and the songs off the first Dutch Steel compilation album.
If you still can get your hands on the box you'll find it's filled with some extra goodies, so very well worth it. But as it released in a limited number, you just might miss out. Don't worry, as as the two releases are also available separately via the record company or your well stocked record store. On CD as well as vinyl. Brilliant!
