The Australian thrashers of Incrypt were formed in Melbourne, Victoria in 2000. They play what they call melodic thrash metal, or in other words: they don’t go full out. They are middle paced, not too aggressive and know their boundaries.

Does that matter whilst listening to their fourth full length album called Thrashing Extinction? Well, yes, as this is thrash to which you can easily bang your head and mosh all you wish. But it will never invite you to form a wall of death, or to slam dance , let alone windmill like a maniac. This is quite clean and subdued, even the vocals, so if that’s your thing you will be pleased.

If one the other hand you like you thrash metal filthy and rough, you might want to give this a miss. But then again as the songs on this Thrashing Extinction album are quite alright, it does mean it is a pleasant listen. Just not an exciting one, and any music should make your heartrate go up, your blood stream faster. In my honest opinion that is what Incrypt is missing.

The music of Incrypt is available through their Bandcamp site. Just look it up.
