The Dutch band Remain Untamed are not unknown to me. Their first EP, released three years ago, is also in my personal collection. I even know their guitarist Hans Hostile personally and saw his previous band T.C.F. live many years ago. There´s still no album from Remain Untamed yet. This is their second EP. It includes an intro and six tracks in total and is released as a nice digipack-CD. The artwork looks like it is from Ed Repka, but actually it´s not. But it says something about their music because what you can hear is great rough Thrash Metal with many Crossover influences. This combined with the deep, aggressive vocals reminds me on Carnivore many times. Without getting restless they speed up like Hell all the time. There´s no time to breathe here. I personally think that Crossover-/Thrash Metal bands often sound cheap and retro, but not in this case. Remain Untamed do everything right. Production and artwork kick serious ass as well. And even Bonded- and ex-Sodom guitarist Bernd “Bernemann” Kost played the lead guitar on the title track! Unfortunately, this EP is very short, but the good thing is that you ´ll never get tired of it this way! Thumps up!
