These three blokes called The Void's Embrace make much noise with their brand of Blackened Melodic Death Metal. And as a description of music goes, that's pretty accurate. It is death metal, but with some black metal influences. This is heavy in the right places, fast when it needs to be and they hold their pace when necessary.

They hail from Gelsenkirchen in Germany, but have a sound that could come from either USA or Scandinavia. And I can only conclude that Dawn Of A Stillborn Sun is a very welcome addition to the metalworld. The songs have body, make sense, sound good and do rock my world. The gravelly voice of Andreas Gerhard is a perfect complement to the sounds that come from Dennis Kree (guitar and bass) and Holger Gebhard (drums).

I can't fault with any of the music on Dawn Of A Stillborn Sun. That's not the same as saying that this is a perfect album, but it does get very close. Especially because the production is absolutely spot on. I recommend you give this one a thorough listen (or two, or three, or even more).

The album is available through https://thevoidsembrace.bandcamp.com/releases as CD or Download.
