Some bands rip their asses off, but nobody seems to care. One of those bands were Bad Habit from The Netherlands. Although they played as support act for big bands like Annihilator, Manowar, Motorpsycho, Saxon, Glenn Hughes and Deep Purple in Holland and Belgium, they´re nearly forgotten today. They only released one single album in 1994, “Fool´s Paradise“, before they split up in 1997. This Hard Rock band even released four demo tapes before their album which are all featured here. In the nice booklet you can even see all artworks of the demos which is really cool. But what about the music? Here you get good, timeless Hard Rock, the old school way which sometimes reminds me on commercial Saxon in the late 1980´s and MSG maybe. But their music can also be compared to other Dutch bands, like Stranger and Impact as well. The sound of this CD is pretty raw, but still good. And also, the sound between the demos differs a lot because they´re from different eras. You never get the feeling that you listen to a complete album. But Bad Habit is a lot of fun to listen to because their music is simple and honest. A nice collectors´ item!
