The Dutch Speed-/Thrash Metal duo Vulcan Tyrant from Rotterdam were first active from 2005 to 2007 and released three demos and a split-CD with the Canadian Heavy Metal band Shelley during this short period. There had been no further band activities until 2019 when they recollected all their demos on a CD compilation for the reunion to give a sign of life. Four split-CD´s followed. Now we finally have their first album here. But also this is even short! Including two minutes intro and outro this album is still shorter than 30 minutes. But that´s not bad at all because the music is fast and restless all the time. There are chainsaw guitar riffs, blowing drums and aggressive, harsh vocals. The songs are simple, but effective and kick serious ass. You can always hear that the band has fun to play. You get a cool live feeling here because it sounds like they recorded it live in their rehearsal room. This would also explain the rough demo sound which is not meant in a negative way because it perfectly captures the old 80´s Metal spirit they wanted to get. People who like bands like Desaster, Deströyer 666, Nifelheim or Nocturnal with rough productions will easily deal with this for sure. There is a self-released fabricated tape so far and a regular CD version via Horror Pain Gore Death Productions will follow in early 2022. Get it!
