Fuck yeah, I follow these boys from Austria already since they were named Damage, back in the year 2007/2008 and gave them (at the time) already a killer review and interview and even tried to book them for the “Tilburg Headbangers Festival” in Extase bar (RIP). The band changed name in 2010 and made lots of progress only! Fast varied, killer old school Thrash Metal with a really catchy approach and some awesome choruses, listen to the song ‘’Bloodlusted’’, this sounds like good: old Metallica meets old Slayer and old Exodus. The music of Deathstorm is really like a ton of breaks, a wall of sound! Ughh, I love the instrumental parts with great tempo-parts, raging guitars (Hanneman, gone but not forgotten!) and thundering drums. This is the perfect kind of Thrash Metal I grew up with. This could have been easily recorded back in the high days of Thrash Metal in 1985!! The sound is simply perfect, but in a really good way! I also hear some good old Minotaur, Demolition Hammer, Death, and early Sepultura influences in here. Deathstorm is just an awesome band from Austria. They are doing nothing new, but it’s all done in the perfect authentic 80ies tradition! In my opinion this is just some of the greatest tributes to the glory days in years. Super & brutal release!!!!!!
