Not sure if I knew the band already, but this pretty new band from Germany sounds very Americano to me. Also the more casual looks of the members are not so typical German to me, no old school kutte. The kutte is the well-known denim vest with patches on it, which is still kind of a German trademark for the Metalfans in the Country. Nevertheless I checked the bands debut album out and was really surprised. This is damn good. Classic Heavy Thrash Metal with a modern/melodic approach straight into your face. The songs are riff-orientated and very catchy, all with lots of catchiness and some damn fine hooklines. Also the production is fresh and powerful but it’s not overproduced either. Actually it’s sounds perfect to me. Godsnake should be the perfect band to open German Metal festivals like: Summerbreeze and Wacken. Very good album for fans into: Metallica and Trivium.
