This is really a re-release that I have been waiting for for so long! Metalstorm were a Heavy-/Thrash band from Münster in West Germany who released only one LP in 1987, “Outbreak Of Evil” which is rare and expensive and costs about 250 € on Discogs nowadays. Now there´s a CD compilation released from this band which also includes two more demos: “The Junkie” from 1988 and a 4-track session from 1992 which are not even mentioned on Metal Archives! That´s real underground, haha! While the demos were more in the classic Metallica vein, the already known mini-LP tracks were more melodic and reminded me more on bands like Carrion or Poltergeist from Switzerland. The old school production is really down-to-Earth. The music is honest and always fun. Here you get more than 70 minutes of pure, raw old school Heavy-/Thrash Metal as it was meant to be. But it doesn´t sound as evil as early Sodom (as you might expect from the original album title). This is a CD you should really put into your collection! Remember how expensive the original LP is! Get it while you can! Pure cult!
