The second part of the interview with my partner San Mujanovic from Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
-San, what were the biggest and most influential bands and artists you discovered and or signed over the years?
Some of my important discoveries back in my early years were for sure Deathhammer from Norway, who later got signed to Witches Brew (Toxic Holocaust's first label among other things) and then Hells Headbangers and Leprosy from Sweden (who changed their name to Caustic Strike) featuring Olof Wikstrand who later formed Enforcer. Olof actually sent me the first recordings of Enforcer to listen to before they got picked up by Iron Pegasus Records for a 7 inch single release after which they got signed to Earache and later Nuclear Blast, some of the biggest names in the metal record business.
-What are the most talented newcomers in the scene (your opinion) and why?
Nuctemeron from Germany is a great talented newcomer in the scene with a big Nifelheim influence in their music. I actually co-released the Nocturnal/Nuctemeron split 7 inch on one of my sublabels Vulcan Tyrant Records together with Daniel Avenger of Nocturnal's label Thrashing Rage Records, that release was a great success.
-How important are worldwide trades in the underground in your opinion?
Trading with other labels/distros is very important to me. I like to spread my releases across the globe that way and expand my own shop/distro inventory. Also, in my opinion trading is what keeps the underground scene alive to a certain extent.
-You're a very unique guy, very dedicated and openminded with a lot of passion. You think everybody do understand your open view towards different styles, artists and or political opinions? You ever deal with haters and backstabbing and or gossip in the scene and how you deal with this?
I've experienced backstabbing and hate in the past when I was still very much a substance abuser and not 100% aware of what people were doing around me to actually bring me down, like telling on me to the bouncer so I got kicked out of clubs/cafes on certain occasions, but that is in the past and I'm now on medication and alcohol/drug free (medication is the only drugs now haha). Anyway, I think people respect me enough these days that I'm clean and expanding my musical horizons to say nothing bad against it!
