San Mujanovic PT1

Finally an interview with my partner San Mujanovic from Rotterdam, The Netherlands. San started his career as a young Metal Punk back in 2004, with his first label Final Punishment Records. The label were he signed (as a 15 year old kid) many new talents in the underground. In 2005, he started his Black Thrash Metal band Vulcan Tyrant, the band (he did alone) and who released several demo's and splits through the years and currently he and a drummer are working on a debut album that's planned for 2021. Time for the 1st part of the interview with one of the most dedicated and craziest guys (in positive way) of the worldwide underground scene. San never cares about trends and or what's cool or not. He follows his ears/heart and this can go in every direction. I have a lot of respect for San and I am proud to know him since 2003/2004 and to work with him and being friends for years. San Rocks!

-Hi asshole! How are you dickhead? Any cool demo listening at the moment?

Hi jerk, haha, I listened to demo of Inisans, death metal band from Sweden earlier today, besides that I also bought a cool tape of Charles Manson; "Saints are Hell on Earth"!

-Please introduce yourself to our readers, what drives you and motivates you and are there still goals you want to achieve?

I'm Sandi Mujanovic also known as San (Disintegrator), I was born 8th of August 1989 in Rotterdam, The Netherlands and thus am 31 years old now. My roots lay in ex-Yugoslavia, where my parents are from and I used to go there on vacation frequently. What motivates me is the envy of people that want to bring me down, it makes me want to fight back. Besides that I am also motivated musically by killer new talents and old dogs that still seem to know what they're doing. I want to achieve releasing at least 1 full-length album (which we're working on as we speak) and leave a legacy of awesome releases from my band and through all my 4 labels on CD, vinyl and cassette formats of course!

-You started Final Punishment Records as a kid! Is this label still active and what drives you to start new labels all the time? Is this because you're openminded with music and want different labels for different styles or is there another reason for it?

Final Punishment Records has been defunct since 2008 and in 2013 I went back to label running activities with Inverted Inhumation Records! On 5th of August 2019 I started another label to release Vulcan Tyrant material and other bands as well with simply the name Vulcan Tyrant Records, then on New Years, January 1st 2020 I created a parent label to Inverted Inhumation and VTR called Take This Torch Records, TTT and VTR are focussed solely on metal, whereas Inverted Inhumation also releases grind, crust, hc punk, noise and electronic artists. On 6th March 2020 I decided to make an underground corporation out of all my active labels with the launch of mothercompany, the MCDT Company. MCDT was created to further broaden my musical horizons, like even venturing into releasing a Croatian rap artist.

-Is Vulcan Tyrant currently you're only band or are you also still active in any other bands and or projects?

Vulcan Tyrant is at the moment my most active band, but I'm also in death/black/thrash/crust band The Nefarious Integration. Besides that I occasionally experiment with electro and minimal abstract music under the name Fred Void,

-Is Vulcan Tyrant just a band, it seems you run also a label by the same name?

Vulcan Tyrant is a band with 2 members and there is also label named Vulcan Tyrant Records that I created to release VT music and other killer metal bands.

-This was part one of the interview, stay tuned for edition 2!
