It seems you have survived my review of The Mondstein Chronicles Part 1: Awaken The Gods, and you are now looking ahead to what The Mondstein Chronicles Part 2: Ample Jazz will bring you. to be quite honest; more of the same. So, yes, it is still experimental, going all over the place and combining all kinds of musical genres into a strangely coherent album.

I must state that there are differences to. The songs seem a little more structures, making the dalliances that go from left to right and top to bottom better to comprehend, as the central part stays strong and evident. Most of the time, at least. It makes the sidestepping sound more purposeful, more in tune with the musical intentions.

That makes this The Mondstein Chronicles Part 2: Ample Jazz just that tad easier to listen to. You don’t get the feeling you are getting lost. No, you rather keep a sense of direction, which is very mellow and, indeed, jazzy. So, the title of the album is well chosen. What makes me smile is that the distorted guitars pop up from time to time, making my metal heart melt just that little bit easier.
