Persefone comes from Andorra has been around since 2001, and those 21 years the band has proven itself to be a constant bringer of good music. For those who don’t know where to catalogue these guys, as far as I’m concerned, they are a prog djent extreme power metal band. So, think Textures meets Mastodon meets Dream Theater meets Dragonforce.

With Metanoia they are delivering another piece of brilliance that will bring joy to the audience. The songs are well constructed, have a certain flow to them that gives them that organic feel even if the music Persefone makes is pure digital treasure. The reason I mention the organic feel is that although this is tight as a duck’s arse, because it changes from quiet to extremely heavy in an instant and then goes on to a little more mellow tones makes that you know that this is manmade.

I know this is not everyone’s cup of tea, but I can only admit to my own feelings, and I am really loving this to bits. By the time this review is published the album will be available through the record company, but also at the proper record stores around the world. I can only say: go for it!
