Canadians are known for their quiet disposition, for being reasonable and friendly at all times. Somehow, someone forgot to tell that in Edmonton, Alberta, where the guys from Tymo come from. Because this is anything but calm and composed. On their second full length album, The Art Of O Maniac, the members of Tymo have opted to go all out and to reduce their stress levels by venting all the frustrations and anger they have through their music.

The Art Of A Maniac is a beauty of a thrash metal record that will appeal to those who find bands like Megadeth too tame. No, this is for those who like their Exodus, Municipal Waste and such. But please be advised, this is no crossover, this is pure thrash metal in high to very high speeds. That in itself is something to make you smile, but the smile gets even bigger when you find out that Tymo also has a knack for writing very fine tunes.

Of course, with these guys being Canadian, everything around the music is dealt with in a quality way as well. A beautiful cover with a sense of humour and a brilliant production, making it all sound top notch. The result is The Art Of A Maniac, an album that every thrasher should have at least a listen to.
