Oathbreaker is the debut release from Canadian Hard Rock/Metal outfit Boneyard. The 11-track CD features Pamtera singing in a clean belting style that at times ventures into a bluesy growl. Dennis Cooke lays down solid rhythm and bass guitars. Gary Ursulak provides some tasty lead guitar work and Jeff Cunningham keeps the grooves moving on drums. This a well-polished release, with big harmonies and each instrument sitting nicely in the mix. There’s a good mix of solid songs here; from the galloping metal of Fates Warning to the marching groove of Monster.
