Witchtower is a Spanish Heavy Metal act that comes from Jaén, Andalusia and I follow this band already since their foundation in 2013 and I was even asked (back then) to release their very first EP. Which didn’t worked out (at the time), but always followed them and believed in them, they are still one of the greatest retro acts around. Great old school sound with a huge dose of NWOBHM influences and early Iron Maiden and Mercyful Fate vibe. I love the clean vocal parts and guitar sound with great harmonies, also the bass/drums and production sound suits, very 80ies! The new album also includes a melodic touch that reminds me to the 2nd wave of the NWOBHM movement. Think about bands like: Grim Reaper and Tokyo Blade. Very vintage, musically, but also visually wise this band comes straight from the early 80ies! Great third album, the best I think!
